The call was made by the Headteacher of St. Thomas Vocational School Rubirizi, Rev. Fr. Charles Niwagaba, on Monday during the celebration of outstanding 2025 UCE and UACE performances.

The ceremony held at the school premises in Bururuma, Rutoto Sub-County served as a testament to the school’s continued good performance in recent academic years.

Fr. Charles noted that the school has remained successful by having a great team of staff characterized by teamwork and determination, thus producing quality learners.

“This celebration is a testament to our school’s commitment to academic excellence, teamwork, and determination. It is driven by quality learners and quality teachers working together to achieve success,” Fr. Charles noted.

He urged learners to maintain discipline, work hard, respect others, be obedient, and trust God as the key to achieving their goals, adding that their prayers can never go unanswered.

Rev. Fr. Charles Niwagaba emphasized the importance of focus, patience, and perseverance for learners and appealed to parents to invest, prioritize, and explore vocational skills studies for their children to secure a better future.

The Director of Studies at St. Thomas Vocational School, Ekaja Peter, highlighted the school’s excellent performance, attributing success to the learners, administrators, and parents’ teamwork and dedication.

He noted impressive scores in the UCE and UACE 2025 results : four candidates got 20 points, two got 19 points, and others scored 15-18 points at A-level.

Peter announced that the school was ranked among Uganda’s top 100 schools and number one in Rubirizi district and aims to be among Uganda’s top 20 schools this year, noting excellence is possible and achievable.

“This success is a result of teamwork and dedication from our learners, administrators, and parents. We are proud of our outstanding performance in the 2025 UCE and UACE results. Our goal now is to break into the top 20 schools nationwide this year. Excellence is not a dream, it is possible and achievable,” stated Ekaja Peter.

Meanwhile Rev. Fr. Dr. Adolf Mukaka, the chaplain at Komboni Hospital, while presiding over the celebration mass, appreciated the school’s administration for fostering a conducive learning environment.

He encouraged parents to remain supportive of their children and urged students to respect their parents and teachers, prioritizing their studies for a brighter future.
