RUBIRIZI, UGANDA – The Rubirizi District Sports Department has unveiled the 12 schools that will represent the district at the regional level of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) competitions in Ibanda District.

The qualifiers showcased the immense talent and dedication of young athletes across the district, setting the stage for what promises to be a fierce contest against other top schools from the region.
Both the boys’ and girls’ categories produced a diverse mix of established powerhouses and rising stars, highlighting the depth of sporting excellence in Rubirizi.
Among the schools that secured their places to carry the Rubirizi flag in Ibanda are Kicwamba High School, Unique High School, St. Michael High School, St. Thomas Vocational, ABB Bakyenga Vocational and Katunguru Seed School.
The schools that feature excellent sports girls and are set to represent the district include Ryeru Seed School, Ndekye Secondary School, Maria Girls’ School, St. Michael High School, ABB Bakyenga Vocational and Katerera Comprehensive High School.
The competitions were equally electrifying, with both sets of schools demonstrating exceptional teamwork, skill, and resilience to earn their spots for the regional stage in Ibanda.
The twelve schools from Rubirizi are expected to begin their final preparations immediately, focusing on sharpening their skills, building endurance, and developing strategies to compete against the best in the region.
The regional championships are anticipated to be a spectacular showcase of young Ugandan talent, with this strong contingent leading the way.
