Ntungamo, Uganda – Radio Ankole Celebrates 20 Years of Serving Ntungamo CommunityRadio Ankole, a popular Ntungamo District-based radio station, has officially launched celebrations marking its 20 years of existence.

According to the Director, Hon. Mwesigwa Rukutana, the celebration is a way of giving back to the community that has supported the radio station since its inception.
The main event will be held on July 5, 2025, at Kyamate playground and will feature various activities, including football, tree planting, and entertainment.
The Ntungamo District Chairperson, Sam Mucunguzi Rwakigooba Salongo, praised Radio Ankole for uniting the people of Ntungamo.
The Station Manager, Elly Katahinga, also commended the directors and former staff members who laid a strong foundation for the radio station.
Radio Ankole has been ranked the second-best radio station by Ipisos for four consecutive times, thanks to its vibrant staff and strong listenership.
The station’s advisor, Jackie Rwakakooko, thanked the agents and listeners for their support, while the accountant, Immaculate Kyomukama, lauded business partners and radio agents for contributing to the station’s revenue.
The event promises to be an exciting celebration of Radio Ankole’s two decades of serving the Ntungamo community.
