According to sources, a mother identified as Marinah Finah from Mubende gave birth to the baby girl in a tree plantation belonging to Kabale municipality mayor Sentaro Emmanuel Byamugisha.

In a shocking discovery, Finah was spotted by residents who informed Origumisiriza about the situation, and together they rushed to the scene to provide assistance.

Speaking to this reporter at Origumisiriza’s residence in Karubanda ward, Southern division, Kabale municipality, Marinah Finah revealed that she was brought to the location and abandoned.

Hon. Enid stated that she had received information about Finah, who had spent three days in Sentaro’s tree plantation within Kabale municipality.

She confirmed that the mother and baby are currently receiving care and support at her residence and committed to sheltering them until they heal.

“We received information that this lady had spent three days in Sentaro’s tree plantation, where she delivered a baby girl. She is mentally ill, but she and the baby are currently receiving care and support at my place, and I will shelter them until they both heal,” said Enid Origumisiriza.

It’s worth noting that Hon. Enid Origumisiriza has previously run for the Kabale District Woman MP seat, garnering 41,632 votes in the 2021 general election, losing to the incumbent, Catherine Atwakiire Ndamira.

As a passionate advocate for women’s issues and social-economic transformation, Origumisiriza continues to make a positive impact in her community, providing a helping hand to those in need.
