Kanungu, Uganda – Counsel Esther Majambere, the aspiring Woman MP for Kanungu District, launched her initiative to promote education for all by distributing 47 mattresses to top-performing students.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The ceremony, held on January 31, 2025, at Kanungu Play Ground, saw 1st-grade achiever students from Kanungu Town Council and Bushura Parish in Kirima Sub-County receive brand-new mattresses.
This distribution exercise is part of a week-long activity aimed at promoting education for all, regardless of their parents’ political affiliations.
Counsel Majambere emphasized the importance of discipline in children and announced plans to set up an ICT center for youths in Kanungu.
In addition to the mattress distribution, Counsel Majambere has secured five full bursaries and several half-bursaries for top-performing students from humble backgrounds to pursue their secondary education in Kampala.
The initiatives demonstrates Counsel Majambere’s dedication to promoting education and empowering youths in Kanungu District.
