KASESE: Traffic and Road Safety department of the Police Rwenzori East Region -Kasese has reported a reduction of road crashes compared to the first two weeks of January 2025.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to the Police Spokesperson Rwenzori East Region -Kasese SP Nelson Tumushime only in the last week the Traffic department registered three road crashes in the Region.
Nelson confirmed that the previous Road crushes include; two serious Crushes, one minor crush and none the Fatal Road crush, from which the both two were injured.
The Police mouth piece added that the process of applying for Digital Number Plates is ongoing, urging cars and Motorcycle owners to apply in the given time flame.

“The situation remains normal and calm on our roads in Kasese. The process of applying for Digital Number Plates is still ongoing. We want our residents who own cars and motorcycles to apply, they will need only a TIN – Tax Identification Number and National Identity Card if they haven’t transferred ownership of the cars or Motorcycle.” Said SP Nelson Tumushime.
The government, through the Ministry of Works and Transport recently gave current vehicle owners 2 years to migrate to the new digital number plates regime, developed under the Intelligent Transport Monitoring System (ITMS).
