The call was made by the Archbishop of the church of Uganda His Grace Dr. Steven Kaziimba Mugalu while preaching at the celebration service at St. Matthew’s Cathedral Kyamate Ntungamo Municipality.

He noted that it’s high time to encourage and support families of their ministers as a way to motivate them to preach good news of Christ.

His Grace Kaziimba also asked Christians to be generous, hospitable and instead of protesting against their ministers in church.

He thanked Bishop Ahimbisibwe for work done in 13 years of existence and expressed concern over increasing cases of domestic violence especially women beating their husbands.

The Bishop of South Ankole diocese the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe hailed the Archbishop for the pastoral visit and directed all churches to embrace coffee growing and change church leaders who are still sleeping on the job.

The Ntungamo district woman MP Hon Joselyn Bata Kamateneti and Hon Yona Musinguzi MP Ntungamo Municipality hailed South Ankole diocese for not being the diocese of preaching the word of God only but also a bench marking center for social- economic transformation and complementing government efforts to fight poverty among believers.

The RDC Ntungamo district Byarugaba Isaiah Kanyamahaane thanked the bishop for being a strong ally of the government in promoting development.
