KAMPALA-UGANDA: The Uganda Red Cross Society Secretary General Mr. Robert Kwesiga has called upon the branch governing boards to collectively collaborate as crucial in advancing Uganda Red Cross Society vision of delivering impactful humanitarian aid and fostering resilience within the communities.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!In his message delivered by Hon Stephen Tashobya during the annual general meeting held at the Red Cross Society branch office Ntungamo municipality on Saturday where Kwesiga, urged all 51 branches across the country to uphold the highest standards of governance and compliance.
The Uganda Red Cross Society Ntungamo branch governing board Hon Stephen Tashobya tasked branch members to find areas of concern especially gender based violence and write proposals to secure funding instead of waiting for projects from the headquarter.
Hon Tashobya requested members to keep lobbying government funding for more projects by writing more project proposals whenever a call for proposal arises.
The branch manager Tanyebwa Collins hailed the branch governing board chairman Hon Stephen Tashobya for having a humanitarian heart for lobbying and hosting National Youth Camp for a week at Standard College Ntungamo and Mutuumo Island Resort Nyabihoko.
He asked all volunteers to continue bringing on board meaning partners and members who are able and willing to fulfill the Uganda Red Cross Society vision and mission and 77 members were recruited.
The chairman of Red Cross Society Youth Asimire Hilary hailed the Red Cross volunteers for supporting the branch in mobilizing new members and empowering the Red Cross Society Links in institutions.
Other speakers were Luyimbazi Boaz the branch treasurer and Katusiime David Kabaka.
