Dr. Sylvia Alineitwe recognized for contributing to the presidential empowerment initiative.

RUKIGA: The office of the NRM National Chairman Head SPA/Political Affairs Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye has recognized the deputy managing director at National Water and Sewerage Corporation Dr. Sylvia Alineitwe for contributing towards the presidential empowerment drive in Rukiga district.

SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye was addressing people while delivering empowerment items from the office of the National Chairman who is also the president of Uganda to beneficiaries within the district.

At a Mega function held at Kantare Playground in Kashambya Sub County Rukiga District on Friday, a number of items were distributed including; Sewing Machines, Hand hoes, knapsack sprayers, salon Equipment, Water Pumps, Welding Machines, crop Seeds,  Brick Laying Machine and pesticides among others.

Hajjat Hadijja Namyaro said that people must not look at their political differences while delivering services that are beneficial to the communities, but rather foster empowerment programs and recognize those who contribute much towards development in the area.

“Our people here need to be empowered in many ways and whoever is seen with an idea to bring or contribute to the empowerment services to the people must be recognized. I want to thank Dr. Sylvia Alineitwe for she has contributed much in buying these items we are delivering today,” said Hajjat Hadijja Namyaro.

Hajjat Hadijja added that some of the Political players tried to sabotage the success of the function stressing that the initiative isn’t involved in any form of politicking but based at leading rural people into income generators.

In her remarks the D/MD NWSC Dr. Sylvia Alineitwe, appreciated the president of the Republic of Uganda HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa for empowering the people of Rukiga district with items that will help to increase income among the families.

She further called upon the public to use the presidential empowering items in standardizing their projects that include; Farming, Brick Laying, site Constructions and pledged her continued support in empowering people within the district in different ways.

“I take this singular honor to thank the president of Uganda HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for thinking about our people and sending these empowerment items that will help our local people to develop their business,” said Dr. Sylvia Alineitwe.

It should be noted that in the past few months Dr. Sylvia distributed over 2million coffee seedlings to farmers, followed by the empowerment initiative of handing items like hand hoes and Pangas to all the citizens of Rukiga district.
