KISORO: Officials from Uganda National Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) have flagged off the dispatchment of Census Materials to Sub Counties and Town Councils in Kisoro district ahead of the National Population and Housing Census 2024.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!In a faction held Yesterday 2rd May 2024 at Kisoro District Headquarters, the Census Materials including Tablets, Aprons, Power Banks and Chargers, which will be operated by Census enumerators and Parish supervisors were sent to their respective destinations.
Flagging off the Materials the Kisoro District Uganda National Bureau of Statistics Coordinator Mr. Isaac Akeraganisa encouraged the Census enumerators and Parish supervisors to handle with care the machines as to whoever misuse them may be handled mercilessly.
The UBOS Coordinator added that the Materials were dispatched on time to ensure and prepare the one going to operate them during the ongoing Census enumerators and Parish supervisors training.
The Resident District Commissioners (RDC) Kisoro District Mr. Hajji Badru Ssebyala called upon the Local Council Committees in villages to collaborate with the Enumerators and Supervisors especially in translating complicated words to ease the process.
The RDC added that the National Population and Housing Census is done to assist the federal government to allocate sources and solutions, particularly in health care, education, and infrastructure, in a more fair and efficient fashion across different elements of the country.
The Kisoro District Planner Mr. Gilbert Ndagijimana said that the Counting process will commence on 10th May, 2024 to 19th May, 2024 appealing to the Citizens within the district Receive the enumerators in their homes and give true information to them.
