NTUNGAMO – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Fredrick William Kyangande, father of the Executive Director of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, Fred Bamwesigye Kanyangoga.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The President’s message was delivered by the State Minister for Animal Husbandry, Hon. Bright Rwamirama, during the burial of Mzee Fredrick William Kyangande in Rubimbiri, Nyaburiza, in Ntungamo District today.
President Museveni commended the late Kyangande for producing, educating and nurturing his children, who he said have gone on to serve the country with dedication.
The President also used the occasion to urge cattle keepers to vaccinate their animals against diseases, warning that the government will not allow butchers to slaughter animals without first having them tested.
The Bishop of the South Ankole Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe, urged mourners and believers to maintain a good name, saying a good reputation is more valuable than riches. Bishop Ahimbisibwe also called on people to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
Meanwhile, former Ntungamo District LCV Chairperson Lay Canon John Wycliffe Karazaarwe challenged political actors to stop seeking cheap popularity by arriving late at functions to attract public attention.
Karazaarwe said the political season is over and urged leaders to focus on the development of their communities.
The deceased’s son, Fred Bamwesigye Kanyangoga, commended his father for working hard to educate and provide for his family.
Kanyangoga urged members of the public to live good lives so that they can be remembered positively when they die. He also thanked President Museveni and other political leaders for the support extended to the family during the difficult time.
Other speakers included Ruhaama County MP, Hon. Beatrice Rwakimaari, Permanent Secretary Ben Kumumanya, Hon. Mwesigwa Rukutana and Hon. Elly Rwakakooko, among others.
Mzee Fredrick William Kyangande died at the age of 99. He is survived by children and grandchildren.
