KAMPALA-UGANDA: The Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) has summoned at least 30 Members of Parliament to appear at the CID headquarters in Kibuli for questioning over corruption allegations.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The summoned Member of the Parliament legislators are accused of involvement in a racket to influence Budget processes, allegedly receiving handouts to approve Budget allocations.
This follows a scenario where three MPs were recently charged with corruption by the anti-corruption Court including the Busiki County MP Paul Akamba, the Lwengo Woman MP Cissy Namujju and Bunyole East MP Yusuf Mutembuli.
It should be noted that President Museveni recently revealed that he had irrefutable evidence of corruption among legislators and Parliament and Finance ministry staff, prompting the ongoing investigations.
