Reliable sources have it that Hon. Nakitende Mavis together with other People power Lord Councilors left the country after taking over the Councillorship seats and have been earning salaries at KCCA even when not in office.

In a short video that recently circulated on TikTok, the Kampala Central Member of Parliament Hon. Muhammad Nsereko (Independent) wondered how the Kampala Capital City Authority could continue paying the Hon. Lord Councilors who left the Country and are not representing their people.

It should be noted that every Hon. Lord Councilor is entitled to a monthly Pay of 8 million accompanied with other benefits including seating and Transport allowances.

During the Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing Solution (EFRIS) Campaign, Ms. Kemigisha Immaculate the Chairperson Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Kampala Central Women’s League was burdened to helping people in 21 parishes of Kampala Central area in ensuring that system be put only on big companies.

Speaking to this reporter Kemigisha Immaculate also a business woman operating at plot 50 on Kampala Road said that people from within Kampala Central have remained as orphans in this regime after they entrusted Nakitende Mavis to represent them and ended up living them with nothing to decide.

“During the period of EFRIS, I was forced to work with traders so that the small businesses are not burdened to use the system and the system is now only imposed on big companies. I work with women representatives to connect people to jobs and improve lives for the women of Kampala,” said Kemigisha Immaculate.

Hon. Immaculate added that she will not keep seeing her people yearning for service delivery from which she said will seek peoples mandate to represent them come 2026 general elections.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the Capital City.
