RUKIGA – A mobile market vendor has been confirmed dead on the spot following a horrific head-on motorcycle crash along the Muhanga-Kabale road in Rukiga District on Thursday evening.

According to eyewitnesses, the horrific road crash incident occurred at approximately 8:30 pm in Kitaburaza cell, Butare ward, Muhanga Town council.
The deceased, riding a Senke motorcycle (UEW 824U), was heading towards Muhanga side after closing business at the Bukinda weekly market when he was violently hit by a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle (UFH 513S) traveling in the opposite direction.
The Bajaj Boxer was reportedly carrying two yet unidentified people, a rider and a passenger, heading to Kabale side from Muhanga and was both rushed to a nearby Rotom health facility for treatment.
Meanwhile, the two motorcycles have been towed to Muhanga police post by the officers, and the deceased’s body has been taken to an as-yet-unidentified facility for postmortem.
