The plan was announced by District party Chairperson Albert Tugume in a press briefing held ahead of presidential flag bearer Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu’s visit on November 11th, 2025.

The infrastructural plan is a central part of the party’s strategy, and the upcoming presidential visit to Kisoro, during a period of intensifying national campaigns, is aimed at presenting this concrete plan for the district’s future.

According to Tugume, the party has laid out specific initiatives in a comprehensive development blueprint focused on critical areas that directly impact the daily lives of residents.

“The party has concrete plans to improve roads, hospitals, and schools, and to strengthen democracy in the district. We believe that development and democratic governance go hand in hand, and this is the commitment we are bringing to the people of Kisoro,” Tugume elaborated.

The plan will be grandly unveiled at a major campaign rally, scheduled for 8 p.m. at the Shaaza Playground in Kisoro Municipality, an event expected to draw a significant crowd from across the entire district.

The announcement has generated considerable local excitement for the November 11th event, which is poised to be a significant political gathering and a key moment for the NUP’s outreach in the region as residents eagerly await the project details.
