Ntungamo, Uganda – Authorities in Ntungamo district are planning to bury two unidentified and unclaimed bodies currently decomposing at Itojo Hospital Mortuary.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to Ntungamo District Communications Officer, Anthony Kushaba, the two male bodies, estimated to be between 30-40 years old, have been at the mortuary since a fatal accident occurred on February 5, 2025.
The accident happened at Abatanyata in Rubaare Town Council, Rushenyi county, when a motorcycle (UFE 361S) traveling from Kabale collided with a Toyota Hiace (UBH 322 W) heading from Ntungamo to Kabale.
Police attributed the accident to reckless driving by the motorcycle driver, who remains at large.
Itojo Hospital authorities are urging anyone with missing relatives or information that may help identify the deceased to visit the hospital.
With the bodies remaining unclaimed, authorities will proceed with burial at the cemetery.
