ARUA D.H.O MURDER. 16 Suspects Arrested

The Territorial Police in West Nile Region has so far charged 16 suspects in connection to the murder of the Arua District Health Officer Dr. Paul Drileba.

Drileba was killed with machetes on 23rd November, in Oyeku Village, Ajia Sub-County, Arua District while surveying his land.

SP Asea Collins the West Nile Police Spokesperson confirmed the arrests and revealed that police is working closely with Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to ensure that the case is prosecuted effectively. 

“Evidence collection is ongoing to build a strong case against those involved” Asea said.

He further expressed Police’s commitment to ensuring justice for Dr. Drileba’s family and urged the community to remain calm and allow the legal process to unfold.

It should be remembered that one of the suspected killers identified as Asikuhu Richard 36, has already confessed to killing Dr. Drileba.
