KABALE – The Diocese of Kigezi is currently holding its 3rd Annual Bishop’s Development Fund (BDF) Fundraising Ceremony at the Rugarama Convention Site in Kabale Municipality.

Representing the Minister of Finance as Chief Guest is the Honorable Member of Parliament for Kabale Municipality, Hon. Andrew Aja Baryayanga.
Hon Aja is joined by fellow legislators, including Hon. Ninsiima Evelyn Kikafunda, Hon. Bruce Balaba Kabaasa, Hon. Enid Atuheire Origumisiriza, and Hon. Kiconco Patrick Katabaazi, alongside other dignitaries and members of the clergy.
The primary goal of this year’s BDF is to complete the construction of a shopping mall owned by the Diocese of Kigezi in Kabale Town Centre. The total amount required to complete the project is UGX 3.1 billion.
The core vision of the BDF is to generate sustainable and independent income for the diocese, thereby significantly reducing its heavy reliance on direct donations from the congregation.
