KAMPALA – The Dean of All Saints Ibanda Cathedral, The Very Rev. Steven Muhanguzi, has declared that Galilee Health Institute (GHI) is a sacred institution divinely ordained and established for a transcendent purpose.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The man of God said this while leading a solemn Holy Communion service at the institute’s premises, transforming the grounds into a sanctuary of worship, thanksgiving, and divine consecration.
The sacred gathering drew staff and students together in unified prayer and praise, creating an atmosphere charged with spiritual reverence as the congregation lifted their voices in worship.
Rev. Muhanguzi lauded Dr. Brian Rushaju, the founder of Galilee Health Institute, describing the institution not merely as an educational establishment but as “an innovation birthed and guided by the Holy Spirit to raise a new generation of healers.”

The Dean’s presence underscored the deep spiritual roots of an institution that refuses to separate faith from the noble calling of healthcare, a rare and inspiring commitment in today’s rapidly secularizing world.
Dr. Brian Rushaju, visionary founder of the institute, appreciated God for the institution’s steady and remarkable progress since inception, humbly reaffirming that the Almighty remains the centre of every endeavour, from curriculum design to community outreach.
He emphasized that the institute exists not merely to train health workers but to cultivate a mission-driven generation of compassionate professionals equipped with knowledge, skill, and heartfelt devotion to serve humanity.
“At Galilee, we are not just training health workers; we are nurturing a mission-driven generation equipped with knowledge, skill, compassion, and a heart to serve,” Dr. Rushaju declared.
Galilee Health Institute operates as a faith-driven training institution under RUN Foundation Uganda, fully licensed by the Ministry of Education and Sports and assessed by UHPAB under Assessment Centre No. U209.
The institute operates under the motto, “Equip to Transform,” which serves as both a promise and a calling, a commitment to producing graduates who are technically competent, spiritually grounded, and socially conscious.
The institute’s vision stands as a bold declaration: to be a God-honoring institution committed to excellence and quality education, raising mission-focused professionals who address the healthcare needs of their communities.
Galilee Health Institute, which currently offers a Diploma in Dentistry, is set for significant growth as the administration unveils plans for a major expansion next year, featuring the introduction of several new programs:
· Diploma in General Nursing
· Diploma in Pharmacy
· Diploma in Clinical & Community Nutrition
· Diploma in Public Health
· Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
The new additions will enrich the institute’s broader academic portfolio, which already features Diplomas in Public Health Dentistry, Dental Laboratory Technology, Environmental Health Sciences, and Medical Records & Informatics.
Every diploma course runs for a comprehensive three-year period, meticulously structured to ensure graduates emerge thoroughly competent and fully prepared for the practical demands of their respective healthcare fields.
