NTUNGAMO, UGANDA – Christians have been encouraged to plant a seed of unwavering faith amid life’s trials and tribulations and to fully embrace Jesus Christ as the pathway to the Kingdom of God.

The late Kahiika Ham, who passed away this week, was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Omunkondo Nyaburiza, Ruhaama constituency. The service drew together a number of dignitaries who gathered to pay their last respects.
Officiating at the final send-off of the late Kahiika Ham, Ven. Can. Joash Tushangyomujuni told mourners to find solace in Christ, urging them not to let their hearts be troubled but to accept Jesus Christ for the Kingdom of God.
He specifically commended the late Kahiika Ham for having accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, describing his life as a testament to his faith.
The widow, Kemirembe Lydia Kahiika, delivered an emotional tribute praising God for the life of her husband, reflecting on their marriage lived together in harmony and mutual respect as brother and sister.
She described her late husband as a true servant of God, a man of few words, and a humble soul whose memory will be cherished forever. She extended heartfelt gratitude to all who stood with the family during this trying moment.
The children, led by lay reader Israel Akanyijuka of St. Peter’s Kahengye Church of Uganda, also paid tribute to their father.
They remembered the late Kahiika Ham as a man of vision and peace, a developmental and peace-loving person who dedicated his life to the betterment of his family and community.
The late Kahiika Ham has left behind his widow, eight children, and several grandchildren. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, devotion to God, and commitment to peaceful coexistence.
