Kampala, Uganda – Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding partnership with Germany.

During a strategic discussion with German Ambassador Matthias Schauer at State Lodge, Nakasero, President Museveni emphasized the importance of partnerships based on mutual respect and shared development goals.

President Museveni emphasized, ‘We value our longstanding partnership with Germany and look forward to exploring new opportunities for collaboration in trade, investment, technology, and sports development.’

The meeting, which focused on enhancing collaboration in key sectors like trade, investment, technology, and sports development, underscored Uganda’s commitment to sustainable progress.

Ambassador Schauer expressed optimism about the continued growth of Uganda-Germany relations, thanking President Museveni for the warm reception and the opportunity to engage in a meaningful dialogue.

“The warm reception and meaningful dialogue with President Museveni have reinforced my confidence in the strong potential for our countries to work together. Uganda is a priority partner for us, and I’m excited to explore new cooperation opportunities in trade, investment, and technology.” Ambassador Schauer noted.

The two leaders discussed potential areas of cooperation, with a focus on promoting economic development and people-to-people ties.
