Kisoro, Uganda – Religious leaders and congregations from across East Africa will gather in Kisoro district, Uganda, for the Back to the Bible Truth Mega Conference, a one-week spiritual event centered on Biblical teachings and personal transformation.
The announcement was made by members of the Kisoro Pastors’ Fellowship during a press briefing in Kisoro Municipality.
Pastor Sam Rukundo, the team leader of the organizing committee, stated that the conference is being coordinated in partnership with Alpha and Omega Ministries from the United Kingdom.
The event aims to unite followers of Christ from Uganda, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda, and Burundi to reflect on and restore Biblical truths that can bring positive change to their lives.
The conference, expected to draw thousands including over 301 confirmed participants from the DRC, will run from August 24th to 31st, 2025 at the former Kisoro Primary Teachers’ College.
In his remarks, Rukundo emphasized the spiritual significance of the gathering, calling it a divine opportunity for believers across the region to seek transformation through God’s Word.
With unwavering conviction, he expressed confidence that the transformative power of this gathering would resonate far beyond the conference grounds, bringing spiritual renewal, strengthened families, united communities, and ultimately shaping a more righteous path.

Pastor Patrick Yamumpereka, a mobilizer for the event, highlighted that the conference will feature workshops designed to provide churches with practical tools to address pressing social issues.
These include domestic violence, disputes, murder, hatred, witchcraft, and robbery challenges that continue to disrupt families and communities.
Pastor Yamumpereka called on Christians of all denominations to participate in the workshops, which offer Biblical solutions to these issues, reaffirming that God’s Word transcends denominational boundaries.
