{"id":9533,"date":"2025-12-31T20:51:43","date_gmt":"2025-12-31T20:51:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/westernpearlreports.com\/?p=9533"},"modified":"2025-12-31T20:51:44","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T20:51:44","slug":"updf-launches-critical-post-operation-review-for-tarehe-sita-patients","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/westernpearlreports.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/31\/updf-launches-critical-post-operation-review-for-tarehe-sita-patients\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDF Launches Critical Post-Operation Review for Tarehe Sita Patients"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>KABALE, UGANDA<\/strong> &#8211; The Uganda Peoples\u2019 Defence Forces (UPDF) has dispatched a team of Medical Specialists to conduct vital post-surgical reviews on civilians who received operations during the Tarehe Sita medical outreach Kigezi sub-region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 578 people were operated from the districts of Kabale Kisoro Rubanda Rukiga following the lunch of the Tarehe Sita activities in the region a head of the 45th anniversary commemoration in February 6th 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UPDF 2 Infantry Division Spokesperson Maj Kiconco Tabaro confirmed to the press that the follow-up mission is slated to 2 to 9 January 2026, underscoring the Armies commitment to comprehensive patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the move is to ensure those who underwent surgery receive professional assessment, recovery guidance, and necessary post-operative management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a critical follow-up to ensure recovery. Our teams will evaluate healing, manage complications, and provide further advice to consolidate our outreach gains. We will not accept new patients during this dedicated recovery period,\u201d said Maj Tabaro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maj Tabaro added that three specialised medical teams will visit all outreach districts on an eight-day schedule, with patients requested to return to their original surgical health facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specialised teams will conduct detailed follow-up reviews across multiple health facilities in the region on a scheduled rotation from January 2 through January 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the selected facilities that will host the excisese includ; Chahafi HC IV (Kisoro), Rubaya HC IV (Kabale); Kanungu HC IV (Kanungu), Kisoro Hospital (Kisoro), Kamukira HC IV (Kabale) and Kihihi HC IV (Kanungu).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Others are Muko Hospital (Rubanda); Mparo HC IV (Rukiga), Bugangari HC IV (Rukungiri), Hamurwa HC IV (Rubanda), Kamwezi HC IV (Rukiga) and  Kebisoni HC IV (Rukungiri).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maj Tabaro urged District Health Officers and facility in-charges to actively mobilise all operated patients through local communication channels to ensure full attendance on the appointed dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UPDF also extended gratitude to the Resident District Commissioners, political and religious leaders, district technical teams, and the public for their steadfast support during the Tarehe Sita activities and ongoing community security
