{"id":9123,"date":"2025-12-08T20:05:04","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T20:05:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/westernpearlreports.com\/?p=9123"},"modified":"2025-12-09T01:34:30","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T01:34:30","slug":"rukungiri-leaders-urge-retired-headteachers-to-embrace-saving-and-productive-living","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/westernpearlreports.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/08\/rukungiri-leaders-urge-retired-headteachers-to-embrace-saving-and-productive-living\/","title":{"rendered":"Retired Headteachers in Rukungiri Urged to Save, Stay Productive"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RUKUNGIRI, UGANDA<\/strong> &#8211; Retired headteachers in Rukungiri District have been encouraged to uphold a strong saving culture and engage in activities that promote mental alertness, productivity, and social well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This message was delivered on 7th December 2025 by the Secretary for Education and Tourism, Keredonia Musimenta Bakironda, who represented the Rukungiri District Chairperson during the end-of-year party for the Rukungiri Retired Headteachers Association, held at Platinum Hotel in Buyanja Town Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keredonia urged retired headteachers to save part of their pension for future use and to focus on creating wealth through various income-generating activities. She emphasized the need for a positive mindset, explaining that development begins with personal initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking at the same event, Katende Paulo, the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the office of the Rukungiri District Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), who represented the CAO, encouraged retired headteachers to remain productive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He advised them to engage in projects such as coffee growing and other small businesses that can improve their livelihoods and contribute to community development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Chairperson of the Rukungiri District Retired Headteachers Association, David Kapira, said the purpose of the gathering was to reunite retired education officers, inspectors, and headteachers from primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He noted that retired educators are still valued in their communities and urged them to stay organized to more easily access district support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kapira added that such gatherings help members share
