{"id":5528,"date":"2025-07-09T15:31:31","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T12:31:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/westernpearlreports.com\/?p=5528"},"modified":"2025-07-09T15:31:31","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T12:31:31","slug":"updf-introduces-alternative-recruitment-process-amid-online-system-glitches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/westernpearlreports.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/09\/updf-introduces-alternative-recruitment-process-amid-online-system-glitches\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDF Introduces Alternative Recruitment Process Amid Online System Glitches"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kampala, Uganda<\/strong> &#8211; The Uganda People&#8217;s Defence Forces (UPDF) has introduced alternative arrangements for recruitment applicants experiencing difficulties with the online registration process due to technical issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The announcement came in a press release dated 9 July 2025 from Major General Felix Kulayigye, Director of Defence Public Information, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence &amp; Veteran Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technical problems with the UPDF recruitment platform have prevented some candidates from completing online applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible candidates must now submit an Excel form containing their full names, National Identification Number (NIN), education background, date of birth, and complete location details (from District to Village level). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants must also attach soft copies of their National ID, passport photo, and academic certificates to recruitment UPDF Portal before the 15 July 2025 deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Major General Kulayigye stated: &#8220;In light of recent technical difficulties with our online recruitment portal, we&#8217;ve implemented this alternative process to guarantee equal opportunity for all qualified Ugandans. This temporary arrangement ensures no eligible candidate is excluded due to system challenges beyond their control.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While maintaining online applications as the primary method, this interim solution demonstrates the military&#8217;s commitment to transparency and equal opportunity in its recruitment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
