{"id":5322,"date":"2025-06-19T20:04:01","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T17:04:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/westernpearlreports.com\/?p=5322"},"modified":"2025-06-19T20:04:01","modified_gmt":"2025-06-19T17:04:01","slug":"kisoro-hospital-set-to-commission-state-of-the-art-isolation-ward-and-theatre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/westernpearlreports.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/19\/kisoro-hospital-set-to-commission-state-of-the-art-isolation-ward-and-theatre\/","title":{"rendered":"Kisoro Hospital Set to Commission State-of-the-Art Isolation Ward and Theatre"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Rukiga, Uganda<\/strong> &#8211; The Ministry of Health is set to commission two major health projects at Kisoro Hospital, aimed at enhancing service delivery in the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Dr. Bahane Emmanuel, the Kisoro Hospital Medical Superintendent, the projects include a state-of-the-art isolation ward and a modern theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The projects, funded by the Ministry of Health in partnership with the World Bank at a cost of 5.9 billion shillings, were initially scheduled for completion in December 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, due to delays, the contractor requested an extension, and after a new opening date was set for May 30, 2025, another one-month extension was later requested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two facilities are now set to be officially commissioned on June 26, 2025, a development Dr. Emmanuel emphasized is particularly crucial given Kisoro District&#8217;s strategic location at the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted that individuals infected with various diseases often cross into Kisoro seeking treatment, making the new isolation ward a crucial addition to the hospital&#8217;s infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Cue in &#8230; Dr. Emmanuel. Eng<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/westernpearlreports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/EMMANUEL-ENG.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The hospital is well-prepared to utilize the new facilities, with qualified surgeons ready to operate in the new theatre and a committed medical staff dedicated to providing quality services to the people in the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The commissioning of these projects is expected to significantly enhance the hospital&#8217;s capacity to provide better healthcare services to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the new facilities, Kisoro Hospital will be better equipped
