Ntungamo, Uganda – A suspected motorcycle thief was brutally lynched and burnt to ashes by an angry mob in Ntungamo district on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased has been identified as Boyie, son of Bebwa and Omwitira, who was killed in a horrific incident that occurred in Murambi cell, Katungamo parish, Rugarama Sub county-Rushenyi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to eyewitnesses, the victim had been terrorizing the community, stealing valuable items such as goats and motorcycles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When residents caught him with a stolen motorcycle, they took the law into their own hands, beating him to death and then setting his body ablaze using petrol, dry grasses, and firewood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident occurred near Katungamo weekly market. At the time of reporting, the police had not been informed about the incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The brutal killing has raised concerns about the increasing cases of mob justice in the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
