KASESE – The 19-year-old Mukonzo tribeswoman, employed as a domestic worker, was discovered to have fatally hanged herself in her bedroom within her boss’s home.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The deceased has been identified as Kabugho Sachesse, a resident of Kamaiba lower cell, Central Division in Kasese, whose lifeless body was discovered hanging at approximately 8:00 PM on Monday evening.
According to Rwenzori East Regional Police spokesperson ASP Elly Maate, officers responded quickly upon notification and found the lady already dead, hanging in her bedroom with her body suspended from the doorway using a scarf.
Police spokesperson Elly Maate urged the public to understand that suicide is never a solution to life’s challenges and called for open conversations about mental health.
He encouraged people to reach out to friends, family, or trusted individuals during tough times and to seek professional help from available support services.
“People should never think of taking their own life as a solution. Rather, they should always share with others in their vicinity or seek services from the relevant offices,” stated Elly Maate.
The deceased’s body is currently lying in the mortuary after it was retrieved from the scene and taken to Kasese Municipal Health Centre III mortuary, pending a postmortem.
At this time, the motive behind the young woman’s actions remains unclear. Police have launched further inquiries to establish what may have led to this unfortunate incident.
