MASAKA – The senior officers in the Uganda police leadership have conducted a rigorous inspection of the renovation works currently underway at the Masaka Police Children’s School.

The project, which kicked off earlier this year, is being executed through a community policing partnership between the Uganda Police Force and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a collaboration that underscores the power of public-private synergy in advancing child welfare.
During the inspection, ACP Nabakka expressed deep satisfaction with the project’s swift progress and superior craftsmanship, emphasizing that it represents far more than physical infrastructure.
She praised the Latter-day Saints for their generosity and commended police leadership for cultivating partnerships that deliver real, lasting impact on communities.
“I am profoundly satisfied with the pace of work and the superior quality of craftsmanship we have witnessed here today. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Latter-day Saints for their generous contribution, and the police leadership for fostering partnerships that deliver meaningful and lasting impact on our communities,” stated ACP Nabakka.
The senior officer and her team meticulously examined the rehabilitation of three classroom blocks, a staff room, sanitation facilities, and the installation of new water tanks.
The contractor on-site provided assurances that the construction was proceeding according to schedule, with all works projected to be finalized by the end of July 2026.
Meanwhile, the senior officer ACP Nabakka Claire convened a strategic meeting with the teaching staff to tackle the school’s pressing challenges.
The discussion focused on the rollout of the competency-based curriculum, with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on learning that equips learners with real-world skills beyond the traditional textbook.
Masaka Police Children’s School holds a unique place in the community, serving police officers’ children and those from surrounding neighborhoods, fostering integration and community harmony.
The school is one of 11 Police Primary Schools established across the nation through a tripartite collaboration involving the Government, the Uganda Police Force, and various community partners.
The institutions are a testament to the Force’s commitment to leaving a lasting legacy of quality education, ensuring that the children of those who serve and protect have a firm foundation.
