The legislator unveiled the plan at a press conference held at Sirbacco Country Resort Beach in Katerera over the weekend, prior to his swearing-in as the 12th Member of Parliament representing the Constituency.

Hon. Boaz has pledged to seed every village in Katerera with at least 1 million shillings in startup capital, which will enable women and youth to launch small-scale business projects, fostering self-reliance and breaking the cycle of household poverty.

The MP, acknowledging the boda boda sector as a primary employer for the youth, announced a significant injection of 50 million shillings into the Katerera Boda Boda Sacco.

The legislator pledged 40 million shillings to the Katerera Local Leaders Sacco to bolster members’ savings capacity and improve household incomes.

Hon. Boaz Atwizukyire further warned that any individual found misusing the funds, whether from the Savings Boxes or the Saccos, will face immediate arrest and prosecution.

“The boda boda sector is the primary employer of our youth. That’s why I’m injecting 50 million shillings into the Katerera Boda Boda Sacco, and 40 million shillings into the Katerera Local Leaders Sacco to boost savings and household incomes. But this money is for transformation, not for personal gain. Anyone found misusing these funds will face immediate arrest and prosecution,” MP Boaz cautioned.

Hon. Boaz further revealed a sweeping vision for Katerera’s infrastructure and social services, prioritizing street lighting across town zones to boost security and commerce.

He also announced the introduction of a mobile Computed Tomography (CT) scan service and an ambulance to enhance emergency response and maternal health at Katerera Health Centre III.

Hon. Boaz promised accessible ultrasound scans for expectant mothers and robust support for women’s income-generating projects to lift them out of poverty.

The Katerera Constituency legislator further unveiled plans to invest heavily in sports, skills training, education, and rural infrastructure as key priorities during his term.

Meanwhile, he further reiterated his support for local farmers by distributing coffee seedlings, aiming to boost agricultural productivity and long-term wealth creation in rural communities.
