The President confirmed that in the current regime, Uganda was ushered into middle-income status, indicating that its economy grew strong enough to reach a new level of development.

“This Cabinet worked with discipline and heart. They did not just manage government business, they changed our country’s story by steering Uganda into middle-income status. I am proud of every minister, advisor, and member of the Cabinet Secretariat who served the people of Uganda with dedication,” the President stated.

Unlike earlier cabinets, Gen. Museveni added that the 2021-2026 cabinet mixed experienced technocrats with new faces who connect well with ordinary people, which made the government feel closer to the public.
