The historic achievement, which catapulted the school into the league of top-performing secondary schools in the district, sparked jubilant celebrations that saw students, teachers, parents, and administrators pour onto the streets.

The school headteacher, Ms. Mpeirwe Atukunda, attributed the outstanding results to years of consistent academic excellence and strategic planning, stating that the performance reflects a culture of hard work deliberately built over the years.

She attributed the success to the combined commitment of teachers, learners, and parents, emphasizing that the school has maintained strong academic performance through careful attention to teacher quality, student welfare, and discipline.

“This performance reflects the culture of hard work we have deliberately built over the years, driven by disciplined teaching, regular assessments, and close learner monitoring. I also acknowledge our dedicated teaching staff and the invaluable support from parents,” Ms. Atukunda said.

The headteacher urged the teaching staff to sustain the momentum, noting that consistent good performance would enhance the school’s reputation and attract more students in the coming years.

The director of studies, Mr. Benon Bahikire, attributed the school’s success to the power of teamwork in achieving academic excellence.

He noted that the commitment and combined efforts of teachers, parents, and students transformed what could have been poor results into an outstanding performance.

“Had it not been for the commitment and combined efforts of teachers, parents, and students, we would have registered poor results. But because we worked together as a team, we have produced these excellent results,” Mr. Bahikire remarked.

The 2025 cohort saw a significant increase in candidate numbers, with 257 students sitting for the UCE examinations compared to 177 candidates in 2024, a sharp rise that underscores the school’s growing enrollment and confidence in its academic programs.

The successful Rubaare Secondary School 2025 O’ level candidates are among the many students who will now await the Senior Five selection exercise from February 18 to 19, 2026, ahead of the first term start on March 5, 2026.
