The meetings, characterized by open dialogue and a shared vision for progress, saw Hon. Medius Natukunda Kaharata listen attentively to the real, everyday concerns of her constituents.

She pledged to be a relentless advocate in Parliament for better learning facilities, enhanced teacher support, and expanded opportunities for the children and youth of Rukungiri.

“Our future is built in the classrooms and training workshops of today. I am committed to ensuring our young people have access to both academic and vocational skills that lead to meaningful employment and self-sufficiency,” Medius stated.

The legislator vowed to champion a significant upgrade in healthcare services, committing to push for better-equipped health facilities and a reliable supply of essential medicines.

She also pledged to ensure improved maternal healthcare services and dignified treatment for all, with a special focus on mothers, children, and the elderly.

Hon. Medius further detailed plans for practical empowerment programs and skill development initiatives specifically designed to eradicate poverty at its roots.

She vowed to promote initiatives that foster financial independence, leadership opportunities, entrepreneurship, and active participation in local and national decision-making processes.

“I will be your strong voice in the Parliament of Uganda. My mission is to ensure Rukungiri District receives its fair share of national development projects and resources. Your needs will be heard at the highest tables,” Medius declared.

Medius Natukunda called for unity, urging residents to reject divisive politics and sectarianism and to embrace a shared vision and competence-based leadership for a prosperous Rukungiri, declaring, “Our strength is in our unity.”
