Rev. Kawene urged believers to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, giving thanks for the priceless gift of God’s love made flesh.
He explained that the true meaning of Christmas is found in love, helping those in need, offering forgiveness, and supporting one another.
Onesmus added that a key part of this is sharing Christian joy so that Jesus may be born in the hearts of others.
The cleric further urged Christians who could not afford special foods like meat or rice for Christmas not to quarrel or feel alienated from their families.
“This holy season, let us joyfully embrace the saving love of Jesus Christ, give thanks for God’s love incarnate among us, and share this joy so that Christ may be born anew in every heart,” said Rev. Kawene.
He encouraged everyone to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and concluded by urging all believers to be trustworthy and faithful, describing this as the path to a successful and blessed life.
