The aspiring legislator made these remarks during a visit to Rugarama Hospital earlier this month, where he discussed the critical role of health workers a message that drew appreciative responses from the assembled staff.

Baryayanga’s engaging dialogue with over 120 hospital employees focused on strategies for strengthening healthcare systems and implementing the National Health Insurance Program.

During his address, he specifically commended the dedication of staff who deliver quality care despite moderate remuneration.

He highlighted their sacrifice as a key factor in Rugarama Hospital being recognized as the best in the region and earning its status as a STAR V facility.

“Your commitment does not go unnoticed. It is this spirit of duty and excellence that has made this hospital a beacon in the region,” Baryayanga stated.

The healthcare professionals expressed enthusiasm for his vision for healthcare development in Kabale Municipality and Uganda at large.

The robust turnout and warm welcome from the health workers were widely interpreted as a reflection of the staff’s respect and hope in his leadership.

In a show of solidarity with national development goals, the hospital team also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the NRM government’s development agenda, emphasizing alignment in improving public health outcomes.

The visit ended on a high note, with staff inspired by Baryayanga’s encouragement and his clear focus on prioritizing health sector improvement as part of his legislative agenda.
