KISORO, UGANDA – The Metropolitan International University (MIU) Kisoro NRM Chapter leaders have been urged to embrace and support the ruling party’s flag bearer in the upcoming elections as a way of protecting and consolidating the gains achieved so far.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The call was made by Ngabirano Joseph Kasenene from the NRM Secretariat while meeting members of the MIU Kisoro NRM Chapter at the university hall in Kamonyi Ward, Northern Division, Kisoro Municipality.
Ngabirano said his visit was aimed at engaging chapter leaders on the importance of rallying support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to serve another term in office.
He emphasized that peace and stability are key reasons why Kisoro District should continue supporting President Museveni, noting that the district borders the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country that has experienced prolonged conflicts.
Ngabirano further stated that the establishment of Metropolitan International University took place under the leadership of the ruling party, adding that students’ support for President Museveni demonstrates their contribution toward promoting national development.
He urged the guild leadership and chapter members to strengthen mobilization efforts by spreading the President’s manifesto to increase chances of victory in the forthcoming elections.

Meanwhile, Sameco Ayebare, the patron of the MIU Kisoro NRM Chapter, said students stand to benefit more from the ruling party through positive participation in politics.
He noted that enhanced cooperation and coordination with senior NRM leaders could create opportunities, including easier access to employment.

The Guild President of Metropolitan International University Kisoro Campus, Alex Mbonye, thanked the NRM Secretariat for recognizing and engaging students in Kisoro.
He pledged that the chapter would soon be officially launched, adding that students are expected to gain more through active participation.
