BREAKING NEWS: Three Confirmed Dead After Trinity Bus Crashes in Rukiga

RUKIGA, UGANDA – Three passengers traveling with Trinity Bus Coaches were on Monday morning confirmed dead after their bus veered off the highway in Rukiga District.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 AM on the Mbarara-Kabale highway in Bukinda, Rukiga District. The bus, registration number RAT 597K, was traveling from Kampala, Uganda, to Rwanda when it crashed.

According to the Kigezi Police spokesperson, ASP Elly Maate, emergency services, including Traffic Officers, an ambulance team, and other uniformed personnel, are currently on the scene.

Maate confirmed that the scene is being managed and that operations are ongoing on the crucial transit route. The cause of the crash is not yet known, and police investigations are underway.
