KISORO, UGANDA – Local artists in Kisoro District have been encouraged to compose special songs and performances in honor of the ruling party NRM’s presidential candidate, who will hold a campaign rally in the district at the end of this month.

In a press briefing at the Kisoro Resident District Commissioner’s (RDC) office in preparation for the President’s visit, Deputy RDC Dan Ndikumwami emphasized that local artists have a crucial role to play in creating a vibrant atmosphere for the historic event.
“Our artists in Kisoro should actively take part in welcoming the President. I encourage our musicians to stay organized and begin performing even before the President’s arrival to energize the crowd and build excitement,” Ndikumwami stated.
Ndikumwami assured the public that security and intelligence teams will ensure a peaceful and well-coordinated event, warning that known troublemakers will be barred from the venue.
The Deputy RDC further called on residents to give the President a warm welcome by adorning yellow attire, a symbol of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
“We expect our people to come out and warmly welcome the President. Wearing yellow shirts and T-shirts will be a strong symbol of your support for the NRM,” Ndikumwami said.
He urged the people of Kisoro to continue their support for the NRM government, reaffirming its commitment to fostering development and progress in the district.
