KISORO, UGANDA – The National Unity Platform (NUP) leader, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, widely known as Bobi Wine, has laid out a vision for a corruption-free and united Uganda, drawing enthusiastic support from local residents in Kisoro District.

The presidential candidate was on Tuesday addressing a vibrant crowd at the Shaaza Playground, where he pledged an unwavering commitment to tackling the nation’s most pressing issues.

He pointed to the progress seen in neighboring countries like Tanzania and Kenya as a benchmark for what a united Uganda could accomplish.

“The forces of corruption and tribalism have held us back for decades. My promise to you is a government that fights these vices relentlessly and promotes cooperation across every region and tribe in our beautiful country,” Kyagulanyi stated.

Kyagulanyi further appealed to the electorate of Kisoro to trust and support all NUP party aspirants, as the party is slated to bring its vision to life.

Hellen Mbonye, the aspiring Woman MP for Kisoro District on the NUP Party ticket, highlighted the area’s persistent struggles with poor infrastructure.

She emphasized the urgent need for better roads, hospitals, and schools and pledged to be a vocal champion for these improvements in Parliament.

“Our community continues to grapple with poor infrastructure. Our roads, hospitals, and schools need urgent attention, and I am committed to being the voice that champions these improvements in Parliament,” Mbonye noted.

Derrick Muberwa Ndayishimye, the MP aspirant for Kisoro Municipality, urged residents to place their faith in the NUP party ticket holders.

He asserted that a vote for the party is a direct vote for positive change and tangible infrastructural development in the area.

“A vote for the National Unity Platform is a vote for positive change and tangible infrastructural development right here in Kisoro. We are ready to work tirelessly to translate these promises into action and improved livelihoods for everyone,” Ndayishimye asserted.

The Kisoro rally marks a significant step in the NUP’s ongoing campaign to galvanize support nationwide, focusing on grassroots issues and a unifying message ahead of the 2026 polls.
