KABALE, UGANDA – Team Hinda Kabale, acting on behalf of Woman MP aspirant Hon. Ninsiima Immaculate Tracy, has launched a nutritional support initiative for Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) candidates across the district.

Led by Thursday Ferdinad, the team delivered essential food items, including milk and eggs, to candidates in over a dozen government and private primary schools.

The move is designed to improve performance by ensuring pupils are well-nourished as they prepare for the critical national exams.

The beneficiary schools span the district and include Lower Bugonzi Nursery and Primary School, Makanga Primary School, Peace Primary School, and University View Primary School.

Others are Kafunjo, Butanda, Unique, Kagoma, Kyinyamari, Rutojo, Kabaya Parents, Maziba Mixed, God’s Favor Nursery and Primary School, and Bugomora Primary School.

Kobusingye Christine, Headteacher of Lower Bugonzi Primary School, and Mathias Arineitwe of Kyinyamari Primary School, who spoke on behalf of their colleagues, expressed profound gratitude for the intervention.

They noted that such support is critical during the exam period, as many pupils often sit for their papers on an empty stomach, which severely hampers their ability to concentrate and perform to their best abilities.

During the distribution, Team Hinda Kabale leader Thursday Ferdinad highlighted the link between nutrition and academic focus, framing the initiative as a reflection of Hon. Ninsiima’s development-focused philosophy.

“These donated items, milk and eggs, will play a vital role in helping our pupils concentrate during their exams. It is an unfortunate reality that many of our children study and sit for exams on empty stomachs,” Ferdinad stated.

He praised the aspirant for her consistent commitment to the district’s welfare, drawing a clear contrast with what he described as the conventional, last-minute campaign tactics employed by other politicians.

“This initiative is about genuine support for our community’s future, our children. Hon. Ninsiima believes in sustainable development and empowering the next generation, not just in election-season politics,” Ferdinad added.

The donation has been met with appreciation from the school communities, with many hoping it will translate into improved alertness and better results for the PLE candidates.
