RUBANDA, UGANDA – The Territorial Police in Rubanda have launched a full-scale investigation into the suspected murder of a 68-year-old woman, whose body was discovered on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in a valley.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The deceased, identified as Nancy Tindimurira, a resident of Rwaburengyere Village, Mushanje Parish, Ikumba Sub-county, was found dead in Nyakihita Cell under what authorities have described as “unclear circumstances.”
According to the Kigezi Police spokesperson, ASP Elly Maate, preliminary reports indicate the incident occurred on the evening of October 27, 2025, at approximately 8:30 PM.
Maate confirmed that the case was officially reported to police by the LCII Chairperson of Mushanje Parish, Frank Ahumuza, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.
A post-mortem examination has been conducted, revealing a critical piece of evidence: the body sustained a deep wound to the head, strongly pointing to foul play.
“Detectives and other officers are actively pursuing several lines of inquiry. The investigation is ongoing, and we are committed to establishing the exact cause of death and bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice,” ASP Maate said.
The police are waiting for anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
