Bishop Muwanga issued this call during the inauguration of the newly constructed Nyakasharu SDA Church in Rubirizi District, heralding it as a new center for faith and community development.

The Bishop positioned the fight against poverty and domestic violence as a spiritual and communal duty, essential for strengthening families and building a God-fearing society.

“We must fight against poverty and domestic violence as a way of strengthening our families and building a God-fearing community,” Bishop Muwanga stated.

Muwanga specifically condemned the growing trend of infidelity among couples, warning that it has led to a tragic increase in domestic violence, suicide, and mob justice.

He exhorted believers to build strong families by cultivating holiness and trust in God, promoting domestic peace, and collaborating to improve household incomes and overall wellbeing.

Rosebel Akiki Kwesiga, a member of the Nyakasharu SDA Church, reminded the congregation that prayer, hard work, and participation in church development are pathways to blessings.

She also addressed family dynamics directly, urging youth to love and respect their parents, while advising parents that educating their children is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and hunger.

The Nyakasharu SDA Church leader, Pastor Isaac Kakuru, encouraged parents to raise their children in religious environments that instill good morals, discipline, and God-fearing values.

The event marked the official opening of the church’s new facility and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening families and building a brighter future for the community.
