As the head of API, he leads a team of over 30 professionals, pioneering innovative approaches in population research and health capacity building.
His membership in groups like the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population extends his influence across Africa, establishing his as a catalyst for change.
A confident orator, Dr. Rumanzi has addressed audiences in over 20 countries, earning global recognition for his work on poverty, health, and hunger through professional, knowledge-based solutions.
Dr. Rumanzi’s manifesto outlines a comprehensive vision focused on five key areas: education, economic empowerment, healthcare modernization, critical infrastructure, and social welfare programs.
“My manifesto presents a comprehensive vision built on five pillars: education and skills for our youth and women, economic empowerment through jobs and entrepreneurship, modernized healthcare, critical infrastructure, and robust social welfare for our most vulnerable citizens,” said Dr. Rumanzi.
He specified goals including increasing access to clean water and sanitation by 80%, reducing maternal and infant mortality by 50%, and improving school quality through teacher recruitment and infrastructure upgrades.
He added that his plans include creating about 500 jobs through entrepreneurship and SME support, and empowering citizens through inclusive governance and town hall platforms.
Hon. Dr. Benita Rumanzi said that he plans to forge strategic alliances with government bodies, development partners, and the private sector to enact policies that fuel innovation and sustainable economic growth.
He spoke of prioritizing impactful infrastructure investments, and launching grassroots-led initiatives focused on equity and welfare.
