Kabale’s Trust Twesigomwe Picks NRM Nomination Forms to Contest as NYC Finance Secretary.

Kabale District NRM Youth League Vice Chairperson Trust Twesigomwe (Middle) with Kisoro and Kalangala Dstrict Youth Secretaries for Finance after Picking Nomination Forms

KAMPALA. Kabale District Youth League Vice Chairperson  Trust Twesigomwe, has officially picked nomination forms to contest as the NRM Flag Bearer for the position of National Youth Council (NYC) Secretary for Finance.

This position is one of nine available slots within the NYC Executive. Candidates vying for these roles must have previously been elected as Youth Chairperson, Secretary for Finance, or Secretary for Female Affairs at the district level.

 The three positions constitute the electoral college from each district, bringing the total number of voters to approximately 438 across Uganda, out of the current 146 districts.

Trust Twesigomwe has served as Rubaya Subcounty Youth Chairperson and Ndorwa West Medical Students Association Chairperson since 2020. This year, he was re-elected as the Rubaya Subcounty Youth Chairperson. He then went on to win the election for Kabale District NRM Youth League Vice Chairperson and Secretary for Finance at the Kabale District Youth Council.

He is expected to be nominated to contest for the position of National NRM Youth League Secretary for Finance next week on Monday, September 29, 2025. The election is set for September 30, 2025.

While collecting the nomination papers at the NRM E.C Offices in Kampala, Mr. Twesigomwe was accompanied by Rukiga District Youth Chairperson Bob Atwine, Kabale District Secretary for Female Youth Affairs Ms. Twinamasiko Jackline, Kalangala District Secretary for Female Youth Affairs Ms. Hellen Nagawa, and Kisoro District Secretary for Finance Mr. Benon Ninzeyimana.

The winners of the NRM Youth League election will go ahead to contest in   the  the National Youth Executive Council general election  which will take place on October 3, 2025, according to the Electoral Commission Road Map.
