RUKIGA DISTRICT – In a shocking incident, the body of a motorcycle taxi operator, commonly known as a Boda Boda rider, was discovered dead under gruesome circumstances early on the morning of Thursday, September 18, 2025.

The body was discovered by locals near the former Kyarenga Bar at the Nyeikunama prayground in Muhanga Town Council, beside a water trench.
The scene was described as horrific, with the victim’s neck tied with a rope that was attached to a pole, in a manner likened to “a reared goat.”
In a critical detail pointing to motive, the deceased’s motorcycle, registration number UDA 409AG, was missing from the scene and is believed to have been stolen by the assailants.
The grisly nature of the discovery has sent shockwaves through the local Boda Boda riders’ community and the wider Rukiga district.
