ARUA, UGANDA – State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization, Hon. Evelyn Anite, has announced that the government’s primary focus for the upcoming financial year will be deepening implementation of the ATMS anchor sectors: Agriculture, Tourism, Minerals, and Services/ICT.

The workshop brings together key local government officials to align their budgetary plans with the national development agenda, a key pillar of the ambitious Tenfold Growth Strategy.
Hon. Anite underscored that achieving the Tenfold Growth Strategy requires rigorous implementation of specific reforms and actions designed to address critical binding constraints that have historically hampered productivity.
She emphasized the need to drastically increase efficiency within the critical anchor areas and other enabling interventions.
“To this end, I implore you to ensure that your budgets align with government priorities to grow the economy tenfold,” Minister Anite stated.
This directive serves as a clear mandate for all local governments to meticulously craft their budgets to directly support and finance projects within the ATMS sectors, ensuring a unified national effort toward economic transformation.
