St. Annah Choir’s New Songs Launch Promotes Unity and Gospel

Kisoro, Uganda – The Bufumbira South legislator, Hon. Eng. Alex Niyonsaba Seruganda, has called upon Catholics in Kisoro District to foster unity as a foundation for community cooperation and development.

The legislator made the call while speaking as the guest of honor at the launch of St. Annah Choir’s highly anticipated new songs at Nyakinama Hiika in Nyarubuye Sub-county.

Hon. Seruganda,applauded the choir for composing gospel songs that can uplift the sick and help reduce domestic violence through spiritual inspiration.

Additionally, Hon. Seruganda urged the gathered crowd to rally behind him in the forthcoming elections, seeking their endorsement for another term in office.

Former Bufumbira South MP, Hon. Sam Kwizwera Bitangaro, also attended the event and pledged to extend piped water and electricity to areas that did not benefit during his previous tenure in Parliament.

He urged Christians to support his campaign in the upcoming July NRM primary elections and praised the choir for fostering unity by involving other denominations in the event.

During the mass, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Tumukwasibwe warned against the violation of children’s rights, stating that the Church considers children the foundation of its future.

Polinah Habingabire, the Choir chairperson, highlighted the numerous challenges encountered during the launch, such as limited funding and health issues among members.

Nonetheless, she voiced her hope that the songs would bring solace to those afflicted by illness and serve as a means to share the gospel with a wider audience.

Kisoro District Woman MP Hon. Akifeza Grace Ngabirano reassured constituents that she is vigorously representing their needs and concerns in Parliament, giving them a vote of confidence.

She pledged to continue supporting orphans and vulnerable families, with a particular focus on providing access to education.

The launch of the choir’s songs, which attracted various stakeholders, raised UGX 14 million and underscored the significance of unity and cooperation in driving community development.
