Koboko, Uganda – A new batch of 124 Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) has graduated, ready to champion health promotion initiatives in Koboko District.

The Ministry of Health’s effort to bolster community health services includes providing CHEWs with a monthly allowance.
This initiative aims to enhance healthcare delivery, promote healthy behaviors, and prevent diseases. By empowering community health workers, the Ministry is taking a significant step towards improving healthcare outcomes for all Ugandans.
The graduation of CHEWs in Koboko District is poised to positively impact local communities’ health and well-being.
With proper training and support, CHEWs will deliver essential healthcare services, ultimately contributing to the Ministry’s goal of better healthcare for all.
