Nyakeisiki explained that a total of 100 trees have been planted at Kabale University and the remaining 1600 will be freely given to graduates for planting in their homes after the graduation ceremony.

She said that tree planting was a contribution to efforts promoting a green environment in Uganda. She urged all people to join them and plant as many trees as they can as they conserve the environment.

Bishop Dr Frank Michael Tweheyo, the overseer of Christian fellowship church in Kabale District expressed gratitude to the TMF for the tree planting campaign and hailed them for not only focusing on environmental conservation, but also promoting food security by planting trees that yield edible fruits.
