The Bishop said this today during the burial ceremony of the Late Lay Canon Yosia Turyamuhika Banushu of Kyaruhuuga Nyamunuuka Town council Kajara County in Ntungamo district.

Flanked by Ven. Canon Milton Turyashaba the Archdeacon Bwongyera Archdeaconry, priests, lay readers, lay canons and other church leaders Bishop Nathan commended the Late Canon Yosia Turyamuhika Banushu for serving God whole heartedly till his last breath which everyone should emulate.

The Bishop further charged mourners to come nearer to God if they are to live a happily earthly life and also win an eternal life.

The wife Late Canon Yosia Turyamuhika Banushu one Justin, described her husband as cooperative, soft spoken and determined Person who served God and church heartedly during his life.

She appreciated all her children for nursing their father during his sickness till death and for preparing a decent burial for their dad.

The Nyamunuuka Town council Mayor Sadara Keibanda Kahindi commended the deceased for walking the talk and actions of salvation and tasked the general public to embrace government programs.

The LC III chairman Kebisoni sub county Charles Kahanyi also told mourners that Death comes to all, but great achievements build a monument which shall endure until the sun grows cold as Late Canon Yosia Turyamuhika Banushu did during his lifetime.

Kahanyi further appealed to children that in order to maintain the legacy of the family they first conquer their anger and pride saying that to be conquered by self is of all things most shameful and vile.

The heads of the family Matsiko and Able Banushu thanked lay canon Turyamuhika Banushu for attracting all siblings to love the church and to work for it.

Danson Twinomujuni the head of laity Bwongyera Archdeaconry hailed Bishop of South Ankole Diocese Rt. Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe for accepting to install the late canon Yosia Turyamuhika as lay canon who served as head of laity Bwongyera parish for 33 years.

The late Lay Canon Yosia Turyamuhika Banushu succumbed to a stroke at 69 years and left a widow who they both had eight children together with grandchildren.
